Welcome to the website of the American Judges Association. The American Judges Association is proud to be one of the largest and most diverse associations of judges in North America, with over 1,000 members. Membership in AJA is open to American and Canadian judges from all levels of court.
The AJA offers exceptional educational conferences, access to judicial resources, and opportunities for training in specialized areas of interest and for international judicial engagement. AJA’s committees work diligently to address developments in substantive areas of the law, including domestic violence, access to justice, juvenile and criminal justice and specialty courts, and to keep its members informed on topics of judicial security, wellness, diversity and ethics.
AJA members receive the exceptional quarterly publication, Court Review, which is filled with articles addressing current jurisprudence, social context considerations, and trends of interest to judges. AJA is affiliated with other organizations, including the National Center for State Courts, the National Association of State Judicial Educators, the Conference of Chief Justices, the Conference of State Court Administrators, the National Association for Court Management and the National Judicial College.
