2021 Annual Conference

AJA will be holding our first live conference since September 2019! This Annual Conference will be a joint conference with the Louisiana Judicial College, October 3 to October 6, 2021, in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel. Louisiana judges have the option to attend the conference for three days (October 3-5). For more information on this option, visit the Louisiana Judicial College website.

Some of the planned highlights are the French Quarter Festival on October 2, the procession of Judges from the Louisiana Supreme Court to the Red Mass at Saint Louis Cathedral (bring your robe!), and the Red Mass reception sponsored by the Saint Thomas More Catholic Lawyers Association. 

The education program includes the Supreme Court overview by Dean Chemerinsky, the U.S. Canadian perspective on judicial independence, judicial security, and the science bench book.

The American Judges Foundation (AJF) will hold its fundraiser on the evening of Tuesday, October 5, at a fabulous mansion on historic St. Charles Ave. Ride the World-Famous St. Charles Ave. Streetcar for an evening of Fun, Food, Music and Purpose. This a separate ticketed event of $60 per individual, or $100 per couple. Don’t forget to bring items for the annual AJF Auction!

  • $425 3-Day Louisiana judges ONLY
  • $700 Non-member 
  • $200 Guest Registrations 

All the above fees include access to all education and social events (Louisiana judges registering for the three-day option can get details at the Judicial College website). The five-day option includes a ticket to the AFJ Luncheon, the President’s Banquet, and the Law and Literature program which will feature Clint Smith, author of How the Word is Passed
